    Treadmill cool down. Slow easy run.

    Fantastic even though I'm a little sick at the moment. Love kicking, punching, and kneeing my opponent!

    Great class. Even though I'm sick, BLAH, I stayed after class to work on some new Kettle bell exercises. Kettle bells are amazing. Try them. I love them.
    If anyone has any great kettle bell exercises... send them my way!

  4. goodEasy hill run 3.5 mi

    Went for a run. The run consisted of one VERY STEEP downhill (1.5 miles) and then one VERY VERY STEEP uphill on the way back (1.5 miles). Not exactly sure how long I ran for, nor how far I ran. I just did.

      Yeah, some pain. Blah. But I'm working on the stride. Treadmills are fine now so that's progress...

      Well, as long as it's manageable it's hopefully not a huge deal. Do you remember if the pain was there when you were doing yoga? I wonder hip opening poses (and glute stretches) would help...

      No pain from anything but running. Even when I was doing a lot of yoga... UG. I just really need to pull out my foam roller and use it religiously.

    Kettle bells kick my ass. They're such a great and versatile workout. So many different moves you can do. Along with push-ups, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, burpees, core, and more.

    I feel way off today from not going to Boot Camp! I don't like it! But I needed the little extra bit of sleep.

      (...cont) All the chemicals that are leeching into ground water in the Central Valley causing higher incidences of cancer and birth defects. Cows getting injected with antibiotics and that also ending up in the water supply by way of their waste. Not good. On the one hand we do need large scale farming to sustain our society. At the same time, though, we need to look at how much is wasted (Vegas buffets anyone?) and how there are ways to have large scale, but sustainable farming.

      And another kick ass workout (literally!) from Lori T! Excellent idea on the rest. As if yesterday wasn't enough rest for me, today I'm doing Stretch-X. Stretching to the eXtreme! Well, okay, not really... but that's to be preceded by an 6 - 9 mile run :-) Rest well!
