      Let it heal right, even if that means not running and doing cross training. I have seen many other runner's have to stop running for various medical issues and all have come back stronger than before.

      If you think you can run without doing more harm and you are comfortable with just finishing, then I'd run it, and you continue your streak of starting all your races. But the key is to stay healthy and not do any more damage. It's really a tough choice and I don't envy you at all.

      I can understand and been in that pitty party place as well!!! Take care of your body and make sure you are healthy and in a good place to race. If you have to change your goal, bow out, or whatever it may be will pay off in the long run. "Live to run another day" hate it and love that saying at the same time. I know exactly what that BQ goal feels like and anything that holds you back makes you "crazy". But you will appreciate it even more when it happens! Train smart Ann it will be worth it!

      You probably have a stress fracture. Let it rest for a few weeks. It sounds like exactly what I had. Mine was better in about 3 1/2 weeks. Most Dr's will tell you 4-6. You will not lose that much Ann. Good luck.
