73° 84%H. Hilly course +3 repeats. I sat there on the couch after stretching for a few minutes, really just procrastinating. I had written in intervals tonight, but i really wasn't feeling it, i never am when it's 10 pm. So I punted to next week workout which was hills, and i gotta tell you that was just what the doctor ordered.
Did the soccer complex loop which is hilly out and back to begin with, longer hill out and back and a few rollers once you arrive. These were solid and I was feeling good, in fact i couldn't wait to get back to home to my nice steep hill and went straight for it, ignoring my normal route. That one felt good so i decided to do another. Kept the pace controlled and mostly just tried to keep the same cadence as usual, but effort was good and by the time i reached the top i was breathing pretty heavy. Did yet another hill for 3 total and that put me just over 6 miles. Ended the run with a quarter mile at about 5k effort and then a half mile cooldown. My calves are spent but a few more workouts like that and I think I'll be reaping some nice benefits.
