moved my tempo run to this morning (and took a rest day yesterday) since i'm doing my long run on sunday this week...decided to get it out of the way in the morning and do a nice runmute in the gorgeous cool weather we've been having! plan was 1 mile warm up, 5 miles @ 8:19, 1 mile cool down...didn't exactly hit the target pace as well as i would on a treadmill but it was definitely a leg-burning-effort tempo run (8:52, 8:35, 8:10, 8:46, 8:24). i wound up hitting my destination at 6.6 and needed time to shower before work so i didn't go out of my way to get to 7. definitely a good effort and ready for my second 20 miler on sunday!
