as if i wasn't already sweaty enough after 10 miles, i planned my run today to end at crossfit so i could go to the 10AM class! today's workout looked awesome since it was a team workout. we started off with what they described as a "classic crossfit warm up" of 3 rounds of: 30 sec sampson stretch, 10 overhead squats, 10 sit ups, 10 back extensions, 10 pull ups, 10 pushups, which was around 12 mins...then today's workout was in teams of 3 and each person did 10 reps and then it went to the next person (so basically each person did 10 reps x 5 of each exercise), so more rest time but it was still intense:
150 ball slams (14#)
150 wall balls (14#)
150 box jumps (12 in box)
i actually really liked the ball slams and wall ball since you really have to use your whole body. i also really liked the team workout, there was more rest between each 10 reps and it was fun to cheer your teammates on! we finished in 18:45, definitely one of the last teams to finish, but it was all of our first times doing any of these moves in a workout so we focused more on form than on time. my legs were definitely screaming after the box jumps!
