great Another country roads run 5.5 mi 00:50 09:09 pace

Another great run along the country roads of amagansett towards montauk...it was definitely hotter and sticker this morning than Friday morning and I was pouring sweat only a mile in! I ran the opposite way of Friday so I can see some new scenery and it was definitely flatter too. I did a little bit of speedplay to keep it interesting: .4 mile regular pace, .1 mile fast x 2, .3 mile regular, .2 mile fast x 2, .2 mile regular pace, .3 mile fast x 2, .1 mile regular pace, .4 mile fast x 2 1.5 mile cool down...this definitely kept the run more exciting an since I wasn't concentrating on hitting a certain pace during the "speed work" it ws fun! I actually wound up running in to a girl I played soccer with in HS and hadn't seen in over 10 years, so that was fun and we ran about a mile together since she was running he opposite direction I needed to and I didn't want to get lost :) finished up with some core work outside on the deck: 20 push ups, 20 (per side) bicycle crunches, 20 straight leg sit ups, 20 opposite elbow mountain climbers, forearm plank for 20 long breaths, stretch!
