I think it was Coach Ruiz. Nice guy. Did the workout with one other guy running the same pace and I guess the tempo runs on Thursday attract a few more people running about the same pace.

Longish run in the park with the whole crew. Moderate pickup in the middle but kinda tired after yesterday. Feeling pretty good overall though.

Easy run with Ben and Joe before the 5k tomorrow with a few strides. Feeling… okay.
Easy run down to Red Hook & back, and added a touch of quick stuff on the track just to shake out some cobwebs for this 5k race.
1mi + 2 x 200m: 5:00 - 31 - 31
5k? Thought it was a 10. Hoping that 31 second pace is your closing speed.

Pretty sure it's a 5k, but reminds me of our new track & field event: Undetermined Distance. Somewhere between 400m and 3200m. The distance isn't announced until someone crosses the finish line.

6:13/mi out, 6:40/mi back. Same as the workout portion: okay, not great. Took it easy on the way back.
LT around central park. Okay overall. Not great. That second half gets pretty hilly.
Nice run though Bklyn Bridge park and up the FDR. Felt good to get back out there and enjoy the weather.
Failed progression. Meh.

Perfect weather. Never pushed it, just a nice steady run. Grabbed some gatorade in the park and finished it off feeling like I could have kept that up quite a while longer. Very happy with that.
