  2. RUN
good Alexander Park 3.01 mi 00:52 17:22 pace

run walk - mostly walk - with family through the park. I explored the short sand/gravel trail - maybe a mile. Will return!

  3. RUN
Hard run around Reagan Park 3.01 mi 00:25 08:22 pace

Did 3 plus laps at the park, resting for a few mins in between. The loop is .69 miles, or 1110 meters.

  4. RUN
    good 2.76 mi 00:35 12:36 pace

Easy VFF Run, though I practiced picking up the pace - focusing on lifting the feet with more energy rather than pushing off - seemed to work favorably enough! Right calf still kind of tight , but ... read more

  5. RUN
alright Neighborhood run/walk in VFFS 2.29 mi 00:32 13:50 pace

Slow & easy in KSO's. Right calf is tightening up a lot.

  6. RUN
    tired Five Forks - Dogwood - Webb G... 7.11 mi 01:16 10:37 pace

Started out feeling creaky and tired and didn't get much better from there. Kept the pace really slow bc I didn't want to tire out at the 4 mile mark like I tend to do historically on this route on... read more

  7. RUN
alright Ronald Reagan Park Loop 3.88 mi 00:42 10:47 pace

Body is tired so took if fairly easy. Tomorrow's day of rest is much needed. Hopefully Sunday will allow for a long run.

  8. RUN
good Neighborhood run/walk in VFFs 2.77 mi 00:37 13:12 pace

    Late morning run/walk in VFFs.

  9. RUN
good Ronald Reagan Park Loop 3.83 mi 00:38 09:50 pace

The cool morning air is like...ecstasy! Gave me some pep even though my calves are still tired from yesterday's VFF run.

  10. RUN
good Ronald Reagan Park Loop in VFF's 3.48 mi 00:46 13:18 pace

Mercifully cool morning. Went in a little farther than I'm currently used to in the VFF's. Calves are tired - will pull it back next VFF run

  11. RUN
alright Ronald Reagan Park 3.36 mi 00:40 11:47 pace

Having no alternative other than not running, I ran in middle-of-the-day-hotter-than-agreeable weather. I feel zapped, but the urge to get my run in is no longer gnawing at me :)

  12. RUN
    alright Dogwood-Webb Gin Loop 08/15/10 6.53 mi 01:05 09:58 pace

More humid than it has been of recent this time of the a.m., and no breeze! Minimized the walk breaks and more or less pushed myself on the pace. Ready for a nap now...

  13. RUN
good Ronald Reagan Park Loop 3.11 mi 00:29 09:14 pace

Hard run of the week - a continuous early a.m. breeze helped the effort. Working on the quicker cadence, but difficult to forefoot strike in the Asics moon boots.

  14. RUN
good Short barefoot run 2.45 mi 00:33 13:33 pace

Most of run in KSO's, last 1/2 mile barefoot - tempted to go faster but trying to avoid TMTS related injuries...

  15. RUN
good Ronald Reagan Park 3.36 mi 00:39 11:34 pace

After reading Pirie on form & taking some tips, my stride/form already feels better. Ran the last quarter mile barefoot. Can't wait to get some shoes with less heel/toe differential...

  16. RUN
Short run in the VFFs 2.08 mi 00:28 13:31 pace

Getting back into training with my Vibram KSO's. Read today in Gordon Pirie's book that I should be landing on the outside edge of my forefoot first - unfortunately I'm landing on the inside first.... read more

  17. RUN
    good Five Forks - Dogwood - Webb G... 7.11 mi 01:20 11:12 pace

First time running this route - hills fairly early on pushing heart rate higher than expected. I was going to try for eight but I could tell I was getting tired around fifth mile, so I cut it short.
