Was visiting my folks yesterday and I'm not sure exactly how far I walked but I walked around and around the church parking lot next to their house for 25 minutes. My back was really cramping and I felt miserable but once I started walking I felt grea... read more

Lots of lower back pain but it was more uncomfortable than pain. Can't wait to get back to the chiropractor on Tues & see where I go from here.

I hope he can put you back together again so you can get back into the game. Did Coach Joe ever get back to you?

Yep, he said late last week to try walking but not overdo it and let him know. Emailed him last night to report in but haven't heard back from him. The thing is, doing it is uncomfortable BUT I feel better after I do so I'm doing another 30 (maybe 45) min tonight when Dave gets home from work. Keeping my fingers crossed and saying a few prayers. :o)

Not sure what my deal is today. Stopped at about 1.5 miles in to stretch, etc. Calves are killing me. But I finished. That's what counts. :o)

My calves are killing me, too. I was at the gym on Wednesday, and I think it's from the calf raises. OUCH.

Great job on your run, though! I'm proud of you for pushing through and finishing!!!!!

  6. For those following the beginner TNT training schedule: Today was 30 min run or run/walk but the mileage was listed as 3 miles. What's more important - logging the time they want or the miles? Should I ask Coach Joe or does anyone here know the answer?

Had a tough time getting through this workout. No matter how many times I tried to run I ended up walking. I'm exhausted.

sometimes you have to push yourself. sometimes you just have to listen to your body. the tough part is figuring out when to do what.

Completing the miles is what counts. Run/walk whatever. Good job for doing it.

Good to know. I fought with the same thing tonight...struggle through, stop? I'm sure my body is fighting me because I'm not used to it. I mean it's going from zero to 3+ and screaming at me every step of the way. I just keep repeating to myself - Failure is not an option.

If you had told me even a month ago that I'd stay on a treadmill for 4 miles I wouldn't have believed you. So proud of myself. Go Team Shrinking Jeans! We're gonna rock the 1/2 in June!

Eh. It was tough starting. I need new shoes. Once the snow storms dissipate I'll get new ones. Till then I'm gonna plug away. No excuses to give up! ;o)
