Nice work! As long as you went all-out, take refuge in your training. What you just did isn't easy.

Sounds like you're staying healthy. Any tune-up races soon? Stagnant, hot swamp-air here. Sometimes I just wish there was even a 3mph breeze.

I'm supposed to find a 10-15k this weekend, but there is nothing in the area. There is an Alzheimer's 5k in Elkhart I might race, haven't decided yet. In two weeks I'll be at the Pumpkin Classic 10k in Morton. I had a pretty sweet time of 41:59 last year. Looking to do equally as well this year. Two weeks after that I'm doing another 10k in Bloomington.

5k sounds short this far out. It'd be a solid performance assessment, but the physiological benefits might not be so much. However, it's always tough to "race" by yourself.

I wish there were more 10Ks around here. Maybe you can find a good Zombie Run!
