      Thanks guys.

Derek, it seriously did seem flat. 1,000 feet in anything more than 10 miles just seems "easy" now.

Jeremy, it was a huge confidence boost. The distance of my upcoming 50K was starting to freak me out a little, so I wanted to do a little mind vs. body exercise and it worked out well.

Once you've built a good base it's fun to just go and stop when you feel like it.

It really is. I'm pretty happy with where my base is now, but I still tend to "lose it" around the mile 17 or 18 mark, which is concerning since I'm only 2 months away from my 50K. I have 5 more 20+ mile runs before then though.

Trent, I thought mine was a goner too. I was very surprised yesterday when I saw it was achievable still. This month was pure hell for my running schedule between being sent to Colorado and the race we directed on Saturday.
