My longest single day ride so far.... Slow because of ~40 km of it being in shitty ring road traffic..... What i liked best abt this one is that i carried just a saddlebag (w puncture repair kit) money and a bottle of water.... No biking shorts, no hydration bag etc.... Although i missed it a lot, i survived the thirst

10 hours on the bike.. KILLER!!! You are definitely qualified for the Ultra cyclothon. You have done 10 Km more for an Iron man. Get on your shoes and run 42 Km to finish it. :-P

hey you got a Trek 4300 ,isn't that a mountain bike, how well does it ride on roads ?

Thanks follks.
@Asankhaya: Yup, its an MTB...... A 20 kmph ride on roads for 100 km+ rides is a breeze on it... In fact, i'm not even tired after this one. It gets hard only if i try to go faster

so what do you recommend for someone who wants to buy a bike mostly for road trips ?

Great ride Sudhir.

@ asankhaya: If u have the money, definitely go for a roadbike..... the LA Urbano is the cheapest good one in my opinion, which comes at 25k+.... The firefox roadpro (15k+) is also ok, and worth its price..... But, I would suggest saving up to buy a Trek 1.2(42k) or a Merida 880(39k).... (unfortunately my frame size is not available)

Your tip of 20 kmph is quite valid. Even I felt very tired when we try to catch road bikers.

Yeah.... But, if u keep riding regularly, i guess u can push it upto 25 kmph for a 100 km+ ride
