Ran after weights, trying to build up mental endurance, since that's what got me in the half.

RUN
tired 6.86 mi 01:08 09:54 pace
This run took place on Saturday...against 30 mph winds.
Sucked horribly.
I hated most of it.But then I realized I. kicked. ass.
Even if it was a little slower than usual.
-
Must be hard to run w/ such big lady balls! Kudos to anyone who ran in that wind today. :)

Practicing pace for half.

Tips on how to monitor pace for a half marathon? Do I try to keep steady pace or start off slow and pick it up at the end?
-
I'm guessing you mean how do you pace yourself? I'd say a good goal would be to run the first few miles about 15 to 30 seconds slower than your goal pace, and then by mile 5 or 6, pick it up to your goal pace and then try to maintain. You'll be better off that way than starting out too fast. Go in confident, and you'll be fine. I'll be out there cheering all ya Dailymiler's on :)

WOOT! Kicked butt. Sick of my Nike+ app, which screwed up again (first I was running 9:02 miles, then 11:30, then 8:50 and then it stalled....UGH!) so I just ran until 1:45, which I knew was about ... read more

Well, I was planning on running long distance, but the issue was...well, I ran in the country and my stomach was starting to not feel so good so I had to meander my way home. Bummer.
