I'm either not getting enough sleep, not eating right, or both. My workouts have been in the dumpster lately. This run was painful. I need to start putting some distance in, but I'm unable to.

    Hard to balance getting good sleep, eating right, etc... I'd don't know how you Tri guys do it with all the disciplines in your training. Just remember that rest days are your friends.

    If you haven't done it yet, make a realistic training schedule and stick to it. You can be your own worse enemy... The mind likes to play tricks on you! I hate mornings and started doing my runs a few months back first thing in the morning. I now wake up before my alarm every morning. I still need to 'talk' myself to get up some mornings (or my wife elbows me out of bed). ...but it's like AA, take one day at a time until it's a way of life!
