Couldn't get to the pool today, so I swam my miles in my backyard lap pool (20 yds) once everyone was asleep. It was awesome!

Just running drills, no big deal. Swam the first mile, then kicked half mile and did one arm pulls for the second half.
Really strong swim -- nearly sprinted the last mile. This is the fastest time I've posted at this distance while swimming solo.
Tough swim. Felt good through mile 7, then things started to degrade quickly. The last mile was devastating. Pulled through, though.
Went all the way this morning for a full 7 miles non-stop. The last 1,000 yards were absolute hell -- had to switch to backstroke for the final 500 yards because my left shoulder was just on fire.... read more
