    alright KM 14, 7 mile loop 6.91 mi 01:03 09:06 pace

First real run back into regular training. I've got a race to focus on (December 7, a half marathon in Santa Cruz), and am about to start harassing my wife about the Bryce or Zion 100s for ne... read more

good Santa Cruz Ninos de la Calle ... 6.21 mi 00:41 06:39 pace

Very pleased with this race. Will write an extensive blog post on it, but I took 5 minutes 8 seconds out of my last 10k (and now have a worthy PR to chase in future races)...

  3. RUN
good Camiri Highway. 9.84 mi 01:17 07:48 pace

Decent run today. 5x1 mile (or 6:30 whichever came first). Did this to estimate pacing for the race on Sunday. Assuming "human" traffic doesn't interfere, I'll run the first ... read more

  4. Just did a bit of research and discovered that my "Adult" 10k PR is 46:31. Supposing I race on Sunday, even if I just go at a hard training pace that number will go down. If I can race,... read more

How do you define "Adult"? Over 18? Good luck dropping the PR!

Is adult defined by age or attitude?

Good question Brandon. I'm certainly more "adult" in attitude than I was when I was 28, but that probably has to do more with credit card debt and having successfully passed on a portion of my genetic material...

First run in 11 days. Achilles felt good. Been using a rolling pin to loosen up my calf muscles and it seems to be really helping.

  7. I've taken several days off thanks to a really grumpy Achilles. It's coming around and I think tomorrow I'll test it out with a short and easy 4 miler. If that goes well, I'll ... read more

alright Santa Cruz Club Willys 12.15 mi 01:54 09:21 pace

This run was supposed to be 2.5 hours, but I ran out of road. I guess that's a good thing because that's 20% less stress on my achilles, but it didn't really bother me while running... read more

I've been sucking down ibuprofen for my knee the past few days with all the crawling around from liquid painting. Pain came right back when I was weeding. Nothing major, just annoying.
