good 12 miles - last long run before Tyranena Half next weekend!! 12.01 mi 01:50 09:07 pace

Even though it was a "beautiful" day's still cold, and I'm just having a hard time finding positive mental motivation in these last weeks leading to the Tyranena Half Marathon. I don't feel ready, this hurt a lot, and it was a fine 'long run' pace, but I don't feel I could have handled a second per mile faster!!! :-( Oh well...we'll give this week some shorter runs and see what happens on race day!! Hoping for good weather!!

That's awfully bold of you running this kind of distance a week before a race. I'm curious, what's your goal for the HM?

Best to get these mentally tough runs out if the way before the big race. You'll run more than a second /mile faster - I'm sure. Nice going today.

You're doing a great job, Reed! Maybe a few days of easy taper will give you a little energy and confidence boost. You've put in the work, you'll do great!

Race day is very different than a training day. You'll smoke that pace next weekend.

Thank you to everyone for the support!! I do love Dailymile for this sort of help!!

Lacy - I'm secretly hoping to just beat a 1:44:30...last year's personal best, but honestly, if I can beat 2 hours, and feel better than I did today, I'll be satisfied!! :-)
