  9. IT Band "bands" for the knee? I know there are many types of knee bands that people use - are any of them good for helping ITBD syndrome?

      My local running store, 2 different physical therapists, and my running ortho all say they are not worth. Good luck though.

      @Anita-yes, I am covered in bruises, but well worth the mangled looking leg haha! She also taught me how to self massage the knots along the band, which has helped a lot, too!

      Foam roller for the IT band is a big help for me! Got me back on the roads without any pain pretty quick.

      Ugh! IT band syndrome is no fun. Stretching has helped me tons and now it's very minimal when I run longer distances and not at all on shorter runs. Good luck with recovery.

      I agree... as much as you do not want to...rest...you can still walk (flat as possible)...your IT band will do much better, much faster...and foam roll the heck out of that thing!
