alright 7.59 mi 01:34 12:26 pace
First half and last 1.5 miles, pretty good. In the middle? Sucky. My lungs just did not want to cooperate. I felt undertrained. And I saw a dog that is the EXACT replica of our Rudee boy that we lo... read more

I did know that! I live right off of that course, and run there quite a bit! That hill would be VERY helpful to pass someone if you've got some good hill work under your feet.

I didn't pass him on the hill but I was right on his heels which made him write checks that his body couldn't cash. If he would have let me pass I bet he might very well have overtaken me later. You should run this race this year! In August of course. Starts and finishes at Billigans just on the other side of I-5. Think there was either a three or four miler too, but they didn't run your hill.

RUN
alright 6.26 mi 01:09 11:00 pace
Had to talk myself IN to this one. Did not fuel enough yesterday. Payed for it. Thankfully they passed out gatorade and shot blocks at the water stations, so I got some energy back. Hit my goal pace!

I am registered for the 10k! :) My next 5k is gonna be June 4th, the starlight run downtown. Think 1 month is enough time to shed 40 sec/mile??? :)

Yes, if you play it smart. I don'y know what you weigh but that can be huge. For me I trim nearly six seconds per pound in a 5k. Shoes can knock off about a second per mile per ounce. Speed work, even over just a month, can really boost your times. BTW, we're running the 10k too. Came in seventh last year, hope I can do better this time.

Negative Nikki won today. All I can say about this run was at least there was sunshine. I can't wait for the days when I have more good runs than bad. (then, than??)

I stopped running entirely. I was loosing my job, in a huge depression, and tired all the time. (Which looking back on means I should have KEPT running, but hindsight is 20/20) I just shut down and would come home and sleep after school, almost every day. I'm not letting that happen again!

I purposefully do NOT call it a dreadmill...or that, it will become! :0) Glad you had a great workout. I love the treadmill because it forces me to go faster when I press that nice speed up button. :)
