Lol, when I waited tables I had nights of 14 miles by pedometer! Not sure how accurate it is, but I swear one of these days I'm activating my accelerometer and seeing exactly how far I race around the hospital!

Oh, and for the questions I got -- the Nike+ is definately off, today I ran a known 3 mile loop, by the timer on the Nike+ I did it in just over 25 minutes (which is reliable - at least I can trust the stop watch!), but the accelerometer only tracked 1.3 miles. I dont think I ran 1.3 miles in 25 minutes. I dont think my dog woulda collapsed after if we had "run" that slow...! Part of the problem, I've discovered, is that my trusty Mizunos dont allow for the chip... I've been stuffing it in my sock,

which works for the sensor, but the accelerometer doesnt pick up my pace accurately since it's bouncing around in my sock (a rather odd feeling too). I just knifed my shoes, chopped open the tongue of one of them to make a handy, secure place to leave the chip... I'll let you know if that works!

Every 3 seconds! I have th Nike+ too and like it, only problem is its based on your stride (not GPS) so the pace can be a bit inaccurate--not a problem for me since I am not breaking records on pace, but it helps with a relative comparison to other runs. Some day I will get a garmin...someday....be careful running in new and unusual places, stay alert!

oh my, every 3 seconds! Love the Nike+, only problem is its based on your stride and if its off, you're pace will be wrong...but in my case I'm not breaking any records so I just use it for the music and the relative pace as compared to other runs! Someday I will get a garmin....someday....be careful and aware of your surroundings while running!
