good C25k Week 5, Day 1 Training Workout 00:32

This is my first day getting back into my C25k training in a couple of weeks. I had been dealing with knee pain as well as a bad cold then had a wisdom tooth pulled last week. Mostly though, it was the knee tendinitis that got me down. I was hoping that giving it some rest and all would help it get better, but the pain has been lingering. Alas, I decided to give running a try today after walking for 20 minutes on Monday morning.
Overall, the training went well. I went back to week 5 where I had left off and decided to start from day one's workout. The first running interval was going okay. That was until around the four minute mark I decided to run up this grassy hill area. Bad move. This caused my knee to scream out in pain. A sharp surging pain went through my knee cap. Once this happened, I started walking. I was not about to give up, not just yet. I hoped that just pushing through it and walking a bit would help. My instinct was right. I walked until the next five minute running interval came up. I then started to run. Before I knew it, I had run the full interval and was back to walking for the three minute "break" period. I then ran the last five minute interval and finished the workout with the walking cool down.
I was very proud of myself tonight. I not only got back out there and ran, but I pushed through and finished the workout. I really felt good knowing that I accomplished that. :)
