Good job Shannon! Glad you have recovered. It's very warm here too. I'm up to 4 skirts from SkirtSports. That's probably enough. :)

That is fantastic!! I don't know about the ice baths. They sound horrible. I prefer warm Epsom salt baths.

I generally do ice baths with long runs 10 miles or more. Get in the cold water first, then add the ice. It's a shocker, but you get used to it.

That is a nice pace! And don't worry about the "bad" long run on Saturday. Some days it just doesn't happen. Then the next long run you nail it!

      Nice Job:

This is not failure. You got out there despite the weather and gave it your best shot and at a great pace too. Really, 2.5 miles difference is no big deal. Just work on positive thinking and your workouts will be even better :)

You didn't fail Shannon. We face new challenges everyday and it's a learning experience because it makes you stronger. You got through 5.5 miles with cold and heavy wind! You know how many people were still laying in bed? I agree with Kitzy. Repeat positive words over and over to yourself when you run; this helps me when I'm alone and feel like crash n burn time coming. You're doing great!
