  1. Aaaaand I've done something to my ankle. *sighs* I suspect there will be considerably less running this week. Boo. Guess I'll join Kitzzy on the injured list, lol.

  2. RUN
    alright 10 mi 01:46 10:37 pace

Kept up a pretty good pace with Dylan, considering it was so humid. Would've been faster if we hadn't taken 2 walk breaks. Ah, well. This 10-miler brought to you by the chili dog and fries from las... read more

  3. RUN
    good 5.1 mi 00:49 09:36 pace

Squeezed in a 5-miler to help combat the deliciously greasy Denny's meal from the night before.

  4. RUN
    good 3.01 mi 00:31 10:17 pace

It was pretty warm/humid, so I deliberately went slow and steady.

  5. RUN
    great 3 mi 00:33 11:00 pace

Treadmill interval run, same as last week: started at 5.5 and ended at 6.5 with small rests of .05 at 4mph.

  6. RUN
    good 3 mi 00:29 09:45 pace

    Nothing exciting to report.

  7. RUN
    great 9.09 mi 01:37 10:43 pace

Sunday run with Dave and Amy (her first time running 9 miles; hooray!).

  8. RUN
    great 5.08 mi 00:49 09:43 pace

Really great sprint at the end.

  9. RUN
    good 3 mi 00:33 11:00 pace

Treadmill interval run. Did a bit of research (thanks for the initial link, Kitzzy!) and I think I was on the right track (so to speak, lol). This time I ramped things up over time: .2 at 5.5 then ... read more

  10. RUN
    great 3 mi 00:33 11:00 pace

Treadmill interval run: first mile was switching between 5 mph and 6 mph every .1 miles. Second and third miles was .2 at 6 mph followed by .05 at 4 mph (in other words, got a break roughly every q... read more

That's probably the only way I could run on the treadmill. Some common intervals to do are 400s (1/4 mile) @ 5K pace and 800s (1/2 mile) @ 10K pace, with a 200 (.12) recovery walk or slow jog between intervals.

That's a great resource, thanks. It'll be nice to have someone tell me what to do instead of my guessing, lol.

  11. RUN
    injured 3 mi 00:33 11:02 pace

This was not a good run: just after mile 1, I got a bad side cramp that wouldn't go away, and just after mile 2, got a weird pain in my right foot that made me slow to a walk. Managed to jog the la... read more

  12. RUN
    good 7.01 mi 01:14 10:36 pace

Sunday morning group run. Not a bad pace for 7 miles.

  13. RUN
    great 5.01 mi 00:49 09:43 pace

Tried really hard to behave myself pace-wise, but the weather was just so nice! Used a pair of Hubby's socks as gloves, which worked out great.

  14. RUN
    good 3.01 mi 00:30 09:54 pace

    That's better.

  15. RUN
    3 mi 00:33 11:00 pace

Decided to do a shorter run, but with intervals: .1 at 5mph, next .1 at 6 mph, back to 5 mph, etc. for 3 miles. Pretty much made that up; one day should investigate what actual interval training is... read more

  16. RUN
    blah 3.01 mi 00:32 10:37 pace

    Just wasn't feeling it.

  17. Good luck to everyone racing this weekend! I'll be at mile 3 tomorrow and mile 24 on Sunday, handing out water, so stop by and I'll fill your cup extra high!
