Well, the last two months have been focused on finding new work moving house and other odds and ends, so training has taken a backseat.

I'm now living 300km from where I was staying before. From being nestled between very big hills I am now quite close to the coast and a long way from anything even remotely resembling a hill.

So I've kinda got back into the swing of things. I tried to jump straight into training, but that went nowhere fast, so my first ride just ended up exploring my new area.

Seeing as everything is flat it will be easier to pick up more miles just because of the faster speeds on the flats. I will continue to ride at least three mornings a week to get back in shape. For the moment any proper training is going to be put off.

I've missed training on DailyMile, let's hope I stay in the rhythm.

    Good luck!!! As you may have seen, I went through similar changes in jobs lately. I no longer work from home and I no longer work from 6:30-3:30. I never realized how difficult it would be to get adjusted to a new schedule. At least I haven't changed locations.

    Actually I hadn't seen that because I have been almost totally off Dailymile for this time.

    Wow, must be quite a change going from work-at-home back to office work (I'm assuming you're in an office or similar now).

    I have a pretty easy schedule for the moment. Only 4 hours of work in the evenings, but I'm a stay-at-home dad for the morning and afternoon, so the little guy (just turned one) doesn't give me a lot of time for riding.

    I hope your new schedule is working out though.
