Went great, was a bit hot, but not too bad. My 2nd marathon and about 10 minutes faster. Its funny - When I was at around mile 22 I told myself "never again", but by the time I drove home I was already thinking about when/where to do my next one!

That's incredible! You were clearly built to run!!

Wait, Fox Valley was your first marathon 3 weeks ago?? That's even more incredible. I don't know what's more impressive the fact that you signed up for 2 marathons 3 weeks apart or that your legs were able to run at that speed with such a short recovery period.

lol, thanks Lynn - To tell you the truth, I had no idea what I was doing when I signed up for 2 of them that close together! Having run mostly 5k and 10k races I didn't know what was involved for a marathon until I was half way into the training. Now that I did it - can't wait for my next one - need to find a good winter/spring marathon that isn't full!

I can relate, I just ran my first marathon in May. I only ran two other races ever in my life prior to that so I'm a newbie to marathons but kind of to running too. Learning a ton from all my friends here on DM though, it's great to be connected! :) I don't know if I could handle the heat of a fall marathon so I'm with you on the winter/spring marathon. Training through last winter was awesome, I'm looking forward to doing it again this winter. Hope you find a good marathon to sign up for!
