Many Thanks DM'ers! Sometimes I think the Taper is there just to mentally rattle your cage with little mileage and less eating but recovery is what it's all about!

Holy Moly. Absolutely the right thing to do. If you are going to qualify this year AND get in, you are going to have to run fast. No doubt about it as I'm betting Paul that they don't expand the race much larger than last year. Hopkinton just can't handle it.

I personally think the Kinvara's are too soft for a trail run, would like to have a rock plate or at least a tougher bottom. I'm sure you would be feeling the rocks and roots, but I don't know the terrain. Is your body going through speed withdrawal?

THe Kinvara's are enough enough shoe, but I would be concerned about the softness of the sole. You will probably start to feel every rock and root, which will definitely take its toll after awhile. Sweet workout.

Nice loop! If it wasnt for the Shallowford road traffic it would be the perfect loop. Try taking a right at the traffic circle and add on the Dull/Lasley Loop for a few more hills and miles. I think it adds 3.25 from my house.
