I waited too late to start (noon), but the temperature wasn't too bad. Humidity is still high, though. I got a little dizzy around 2.5 miles but it went away quickly. I started out really slowly then started increasing the pace each mile. It was like a game to take my mind off the distance. I was doing great until the tunnel messed me up (I was ahead of my last mile pace going in then WAY off coming out...I'm sure it was a Garmin thing). But it's done and I'm proud of myself for going 11 today. Happy running all.

    Yeah, it's a hypoglycemia thing. My blood sugar was out of whack for a few minutes.

    Nice easy long run:) Look at your mileage creeping back up! Is that tunnel the one on the trail? Not far from town if you get on the trail near amazement square? I always had Garmin issues after that tunnel. It loses signal then tries to calculate the distance back in and such.

    Thanks, all! Bobbie - yes, mileage is creeping up. I'm finally getting serious about training! That's the same tunnel you are thinking about. My Garmin always loses the signal in there and gives or takes a little distance. By the way, my target pace was 9:16, so I hit it.
