Started out at my normal pace, and then right around mi 1.25 my right ankle experienced the routine pain. I didn't let it stop me though. I pulled my pace back, stopped to stretch it out only twice, and walked through the three water breaks. I'll write more in my blog, but damn, I proved a lot to myself today. I fought through the longer run (normally a 5k, what the heck??), showed up to the race and kicked butt. It wasn't a great time by any means, but given the rest I had to take and lack of prep for the season, I'm so damn happy and proud. More on the blog later!
