good 9mi run in Prospect Park 9 mi 01:09 07:38 pace

Gorgeous day for a run. Since today I was doing 9 (instead of 8), I figured I'd run a smaller loop inside the park later, but I got lost. Very lost.

good 4mi run in Prospect Park 4 mi 00:30 07:31 pace

Running is hard. You can make it as hard as you want it to be.

Can I run 4mi? Definitely. Can I run 4mi in 36 mins? Hell yeah. Is it painful? No. Can I run 4mi in 32 mins? Yes. Is it painful? Litt... read more

Proud of you... but also confused. All the advice we read said that you should do distance training independently from speed training, that you should wait for a time when you aren't prepping for a marathon to build up speed. I'm a little worried that you will hurt yourself! Only a few weeks left before your marathon.

good 8mi run in Prospect Park 8.01 mi 01:01 07:38 pace

Going out I thought I'd do a 8:30 pace run, but clearly I failed. I seem to have a mental block that prevents me from running slow.

Slightly cooler than yesterday, high 30s.
