      The legs, both, are pretty good. Not 100% and this run was mostly downhill, but I think I'm on the mend! We were at the Festival both days, dropped the daughter off yesterday and picked her up today. I think we dropped $100 at Elmer's.

      Pretty good. We'll see tomorrow. It seems to be good run, bad run, repeat. Hopefully at some point the good runs will be more and the bad ones fewer. It helped that this course is pancake-flat.

      Still, a very wise move to take it easy Patrick. After all the REAL trick is to break the Over 100 Marathon record!! I've targeted the Over 100 1 hour TT on the bike myself :)

      Based on what I have been hearing about the course, you would have kicked my ass and that's no small feat ;-). Well done Patrick.
      Update: Looking at the results, you and #5 finished within a few seconds at Bridge of Flowers. You definitely would have been right about there again if not for the pain/injury.

      Yeah, Bob had a bad day there. I don't think I run faster than 45 minutes or so on a course like that even on my best day, but clearly that was not my best day and I backed way off after the turnaround.

      This years course had nearly five times the feet of gain (900+) compared to last year (200ish). It was punishing and demoralizing. Your pace is spectacular on that course.

    Tried to get some faster leg turnover without extending too much. Kept it mostly at tempo effort with 400s in 1:37 or so and 800s in about 3:20.

    Feeling stronger every day on the uneven surfaces. Took a spill, which would have been agonizing for the adductors a couple weeks ago. I have a skinned knee but that's it. :-)

    First double digit run in months that did not suck. Kept it comfortable but picked the pace up for mile 7. Had originally planned 2-3 uptempo miles but one was enough.
