  1. RUN
alright Hills and More Hills 10 mi 01:31 09:03 pace

This morning's run in Dodge City was almost nothing but hills. I was either running down or running up with the exception of a few blocks near Boot Hill. The long out and back by the golf cour... read more

  2. RUN
good Easy Does It 6.2 mi 00:59 09:26 pace

Today I did the first intentionally slow run I've done in quite some time. I only saw my pace dip under 9:00 once on a flat street. The rest of the time Dan and I kept it nice and easy, avoidi... read more

  3. RUN
    good Hills 7.9 mi 01:05 08:16 pace

Since I ran hard yesterday, I was going to take it a little easier today. Steven and Dan had other plans. We ended up running hills in the southwest corner of town.

  4. RUN
great Easy Run? 8 mi 01:06 08:15 pace

I met up with Steve on Pine and ran to find Dan. He was no where to be found even after looping around a couple of blocks, so the two of us went out and around the cemetery and the college and then... read more

  5. RUN
    8 x 400 6.5 mi 00:56 08:36 pace

My training plan called for 8 x 400m, so I ran down to the high school track and took a few spins around it. My times for each of my sprints were 1:30, 1:28, 1:26, 1:26, 1:28, 1:27, 1:29, and 1:26.... read more

  6. RUN
alright Another Run 6.2 mi 00:54 08:40 pace

I met Dan on School and Steve on Pine. We ran around town. It was good.

  7. RUN
    tired 5K "Race" 3.1 mi 00:22 07:11 pace

Ugh! I did NOT want to run hard this morning. I'd had too little sleep. I ate two donuts. I felt awful the whole time. I didn't die. There is that.

  8. RUN
good Off Plan 7.2 mi 01:02 08:39 pace

This morning Hal called for an easy 3 miles, so I ran hill sprints with Steve and Dan while covering 7 miles. That's how you follow a training plan, right?

  9. RUN
good Easy Miles 5.8 mi 00:52 09:00 pace

Enjoyed a nice easy run with Dan this morning. Checked to see if anyone else was running. No one was stirring. We ran around Wal-Mart, the college, and the cemetery. A beautiful way to start the day.

  10. RUN
    good Seven x Hills 6.2 mi 00:52 08:22 pace

Steve and I met up on Pine and ran to the bottom of hill on Maple. We ran the hill seven times, then took a fairly relaxed run out to Main and south to the highway. Steve crossed the road and we ra... read more

Thanks, all. The Incline averages 45% grade. There's a section of 68%. Ugh! I enjoyed it mostly! My time was 36:39. Pretty decent for a flatlander.

  13. RUN
great Manitou Incline 0.82 mi 00:37

Uphill hardly does the Manitou Incline justice! That's all there is! For 0.82 miles, I moved quickly uphill, rising 1,881 feet. My goal time was 45 minutes. I would've been happy with tha... read more

  14. RUN
alright World Vision Group Run 4.5 mi 00:41 09:13 pace

  15. RUN
great Down Barr Trail 3.18 mi 00:36 11:11 pace

It was nice after the brutal ascent of the Incline to run downhill. It's funny to see only 9 feet of elevation gain on a run on Pike's Peak. This was ALL downhill!

  16. RUN
good Down and Back 5.7 mi 00:56 09:54 pace

On the last day of retreat, I ran solo down the hill to the main road and back up. My only goal was to keep running the whole time. I did that. It's quite a climb back to the camp.

  17. RUN
    good A Quicker Run 6.2 mi 00:52 08:21 pace

Adam, Manny, and I drove down the mountain to the main road and ran a couple of out and backs from the car to get to 10K. I was pretty pleased with my time considering the elevation.

  18. RUN
alright First High Altitude Run 6.2 mi 00:59 09:26 pace

Adam, Manny, and I met up for a late morning run. We ran part way down the hill from the retreat center, then took a side road south. We ran out to our 3-mile mark, then retraced our steps. There w... read more

  19. RUN
good Abandoned on the Track 6.5 mi 00:58 08:52 pace
