If you find yourself running out of gas at the end of your long run, you are going too fast. Throttle back your pace. You want to find a pace you can maintain throughout the run. Not fast at first, then slow at the end. Keep it at a conversational pace where you can still speak full sentences without gasping for air. Your training pace is supposed to be slower than your race pace.

You may have to try indoors on the treadmill for a while. Good luck.

I don't know if you have tried Nuun, the electrolyte replacement, but I love it! It takes some getting used to but it doesn't have all the sugar of gatorade.

Well Allison, all I can say is sometimes it is hotter in the building I work in than outside, I think that is what helps me run in the heat, and here in Oklahoma it is hot
