    Easy test run on the trail to see if my ankle is better. Felt pretty good, so keeping my fingers crossed! Ice floes on the Hudson, still some snow on the trail.

    My 2nd 3.0 mile run ... better than I thought... I had some twinges in my ankle before I started, but I started slowly and it went away. Grey and rainy but nice fresh breeze off the Hudson.

      Nick I think even with your 5k training you will be good to go on race day for the 4 miler!! The push of the other runners plus you own adrenaline will keep you moving. IMHO!!

    I wasn't sure how it would go but I extended my distance by a mile and lived! Problem for me was a steep hill at the end, but somehow it wasn't too bad...

      Hi Ange! Yes I've totally been slacking after the long weekend, got swamped a bit at work, blah blah... should have known the DM'ers would catch me :) ... morning run scheduled, so look for me on the board for the rest of the week, or shame, shame... !

      Thanks, Ange... I'm one of those NYC people with no car :) but fortunately my trail's a short walk... I 'll just tough it out, or, walk up first if I need to :) I'll definitely try your staggered days, though...!

      Agree with Rob -- good goal! and try to gradually increase the runs by around .25 to get to your 5K goal.
