Overall a good one - and I owe to you, especially Marty and Mauricio. Thanks for the encouragement. Set off for 2M warmup (8:58 min/mile) and then 12 at RP. Was aiming for sub 8:25 min/mile but ended up with an average of 8:26 min/mile. Still fine - given the ice on the roads I couldn't go as fast as I wanted and overall I was pleased to be able to hang onto the pace. Still not feeling as strong as I have done in the past but glad I toughed it out. 6 easy tomorrow. Yay!

    Thanks both of you! Yes I have been putting in the miles - I'm heading to Boston in 10 weeks. But please note the 24 miles at the beginning of this week were on a bike - slightly easier than running the same distance..
