Another LT run - this time 6 miles at around 7:45 min/mile. Not a success. I stopped about 5 times (for about 30 seconds each). It just felt too hard or maybe I am not pushing myself enough. I wonder whether I should, for the time being at least, adjust my pace to be more around 7:50 min/mile pace for LT. Although I am reluctant to do so (I could do it last year!) there is no point in these runs where I am just hanging on and having to stop. Better to run a consistent 6M at 7:50s. Hrmm. I'll give it some thought but am open to insights and input?


maybe do some shorter, more intense intervals at 7:45 to get you back into the swing of running at that pace? perhaps 1/2 mile intervals?

Do you have a time goal for Boston? If not, than Marty's advice (to back things off a bit) seems logical....then after Boston, when you set your next goal ;-) you can resume....
