Started off at 7am. Lost all motivation at 1M. Went home. Complained to husband that I couldn't get my run in, so he came out and did the remaining 5 with me. How lovely is that? Nothing wrong with me really - just tired..

Petra ran 16 miles in 2 hours and 18 mins good 16 mi / 02:19 08:40 pace
Overall a good one - and I owe to you, especially Marty and Mauricio. Thanks for the encouragement. Set off for 2M warmup (8:58 min/mile) and then 12 at RP. Was aiming for sub 8:25 min/mile but ended up with an average of 8:26 min/mile. Still fine ... read more

You have put all the hard work in and it's paying off. I can only dream of averaging 8:26 minute miles for a 16 mile run.

Petra ran 6 miles in 52 mins good 6 mi / 00:53 08:47 pace
A good 6 miler - took a .05 mile walk break every mile to give me some recovery and really pounded out the last mile. However, am still dreading tomorrow's 16 miler - I have to start it in the dark AND there's 12 miles at race pace involved. Hrmm.

there is definitely consistency in your workouts lately.. it seems to me that you are really in a good place in terms of your boston training... looking forward to hearing about your 16-miler tomorrow

Petra ran 14 miles in 2 hours and 13 mins good 14 mi / 02:13 09:30 pace
Hrmm. Slush and ice did not a fast surface make and I'm still not really feeling it. Wonder whether I'm suffering from anaemia again - I did last year when I ran a lot and I have just bought new iron pills to get going on that. We shall see.

you deserve a medal for persevering in the slush. those are not easy conditions in which to run. if it's any consolation, i'm not feeling it right now, i think a lot of people are feeling like this, probably because this winter has been particularly harsh... never mind, the long days will soon be here... keep your chin up petra

Petra ran 6 miles in 51 mins good 6 mi / 00:52 08:38 pace
A rainy and blustery and cold and windy 6 miler. Thankfully had the wind in my back on the way home so that's one way to record a negative split..

Petra rode 23.51 miles in 2 hours and 21 mins good 23.51 mi / 02:21 10.0mph pace
Rode with a friend - took it easy and had a lovely bikeride.

Petra ran 12 miles in 1 hour and 56 mins good 12 mi / 01:56 09:39 pace
Another slowish run - still taking it easy on the knee and also ran this on trails around the farm where we live. It forces me to go slower. Thankfully knee was not painful at all.

Petra ran 7.01 miles in 1 hour and 8 mins good 7.01 mi / 01:08 09:42 pace
Another slowish run - still wasn't really feeling it.

Petra ran 4.91 miles in 55 mins good 4.91 mi / 00:55 11:17 pace
A very slow 5 miler with my husband - part recovery from yesterday's exertions, partly because he is not as fast (yet) and partly because I was being very careful with my knee which was tender after the long run.

Petra ran 20.12 miles in 2 hours and 59 mins good 20.12 mi / 02:60 08:55 pace
A very decent 20 miler - I never turned my Garmin off even for the inevitable breaks for water and watering. Got slight cramps at mile 16 though which I blame on not bringing enough water and not bringing the right race fuel. Small Mulebar did not su... read more
