Early morning tempo in GGP, with Billy and Lorne (for first bit).
Only got about a mile in to warm up, as I was a bit late. Hamstrings still super sore from Bikram on Monday night.
2x 3 miles.
First 3 mile piece: 18:48 (6:22, 6:08, 6:18 splits approximate) Felt good. HR monitor stopped registering briefly (cold enough that not enough sweat?), but I was in the high 160s for most of it.
Jogged/rested for 8+ minutes. Right hamstring and glute tightened to match the slowly tightening calves.
Second 3 mile piece: 19:36 (9:40 first half, 9:56 second half) Felt generally sore and tight and unwilling to push extra, but glad to slide under 20 minutes all the same. HR was lower, bouncing in high 150s/low 160s.
Dawdled home.
