It occurred to me that many of my posts include a mention of my good friend Mr Wind. In order to outline why this is, I just spent a few mins trawling the net. The first thing many visitors notice about the area is the off-shore wind farms :) They are currently growing at a significant rate and will collectively be the largest in Europe, and in the top 5 in the world, by 2014! In addition to that, just over the Little Orme, the hill I use for my hill intervals, is a famous local tree. This tree has 1 distinguishing feature - the wind has blown it so hard for so long, that it looks like this (see photo). Safe to say, the wind will be a feature of my workouts for the next 30-50 YEARS!!
Now back to the good stuff.
Wind speed was 25-35mph (Free wheeling at 20mph!)
Session today was just to get out there and turn the pedals.
Wet roads meant no land speed records were on but I did manage a few miles at just over 30mph after my warmup lap :)))
