Everything came together for this run today - more sleep, more time between this and my last run, hydration, nutrition, Sport Legs, Endurolytes, 2nd Surge, ease of parking - haha. It just felt so much easier, at least for the vast majority of this run. I passed this girl going in the opposite direction twice - kind of reminded me of Stephanie K., (and I wondered if it could have been her sister) so if she was wearing a pink shirt and green shorts, then it was her. Speaking of colors, I also ran past the leftover colors in the street from the Color Run earlier today - pretty cool seeing the after effects! Since I had no set plan for miles other than wanting to at least do 10, I shut it down shortly after my legs ran out of gas - which coincidentally, was pushing to get to 10. With Lone Ranger next weekend I wasn't going for gold today. Afterwards, I decided to treat myself to something cool at Lloyd Hall's Cosmic Cafe (I just love that name) and tried something new: Chilled Canteloupe Soup! Refreshing and delicious! Since my clothes felt like I'd been soaked by a fire hydrant, I did something else I never did before - stood next to my car and took my shirt off, then wrung it out. Left a nice puddle next to the car too. Put a blanket over my seat, stretched a bit, then drove... to the gym, where I got another visit in, put a new coat of sweat on myself (and yes, I put that damp shirt back on before going into the gym) and did some lipty before heading home. Oh yeah, and apparently tomorrow is the first day of my marathon training plan - oh, and as luck as it, it's a REST DAY!!! Woot!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
