  1. Well, thanks to Jana N. for posting this link, I registered for the metric century distance on 9/7. And look! I'm already nervous!

  2. RUN
good AM TM 4 mi 00:43 10:48 pace

Easy run - stopped halfway for a nature break and when I continued my run, a spot slightly higher up from the achilles would randomly give me a pinch-like feeling. Since it was still there as I inc... read more

  3. VELO
good PM Trainer Ride 15 mi 00:51 17.5mph pace

Evening trainer ride, asking more from my quads while watching the end of Ice Princess and the beginning of Ramen Girl. Shifting felt sloppy so I'll need to get my bike in for a tuneup before ... read more

Nice job! It's good that you know your bike well enough to feel how the shifting gears work.

  4. RUN
    good 4 B4 Work 4 mi 00:42 10:33 pace

Another easy TM run with continued focus on cadence (3 steps per second). Used a little more incline in the 2nd mile - just 1% - to test the achilles before I try going back out to my rolling-hill... read more

@Jana: I'm following a beginner plan that Fitness Mag published 4 yrs ago - has fewer run days and a good mix of off/XT days that work for me right now, esp. since I want to do bike training too.

  6. walk
    good Bleepidy-bleep walk 1.62 mi 00:39 23:56 pace

More recovery walking for me - took Che-Che (chihuahua/shihtsu) for a solo walk around the block. Lots of stop'n go, and because I had my Garmin set to auto-pause, there was a lot of bleeping ... read more

  7. RUN
    good Treadmill 5 mi 00:53 10:41 pace

Easy paced run. Felt good. Both glutes were sore from those single leg squats (nice to have symmetrical soreness for a change). Increased focus on cadence.

  8. FIT
    good Basement Buff-zone 00:30

Once again, I've been deficient in this area. Noticed my shoulders looked a bit "flat." While sprucing up the basement, I did a few sets of some and random sampling of others: dumbbe... read more

good Virtual Group Ride 20 mi 01:12 16.7mph pace

good Long Run 6 mi 01:03 10:34 pace

Sometimes it's all or nothing with me... Figured there's 5 weeks left until the Rock n Roll half so it's time to sh*# or get off the pot, as the saying goes. Following the same begin... read more

good RIDE Class with Vee 01:00

That sounds exhausting, but so sweet of you to listen. Maybe give her one chance at running together, as it isn't too bad to listen while running and easier than talking! Other than that it might be too much. Nice class after your ride, by the way.
