    alright Spin class 00:55

I think I'm getting worse at spin! I just feel so sloooooow.

  2. I missed you, DM! I have not posted a run or swim to DM in a loooong time. Will do so this evening after I venture out.

  3. RUN
    good Beach2Bay1 4.75 mi 00:40 08:25 pace

I'm having trouble with my left knee. Pain is not too bad, but every now and then it feels like it's going to buckle. I've been trying to do more squats to strengthen my legs, and am taking glucos... read more

    great Spin class 00:55

We missed last week's class, so was super happy to be back tonight. I don't know if I just really missed it or because I haven't run since Sunday (and haven't really been doing all that much in the... read more

alright La Jolla Half 13.1 mi 02:08 09:48 pace

I had fun running La Jolla, but I'm a lil' disappointed in my performance. 2 weeks prior to the race, I developed plantar fascititis and an ankle problem. :( I rested my foot leading up the race,... read more

That is a great time for La Jolla! Don't get down on yourself! Hope your foot is feeling better, my legs are fully healed, thank God! Good luck in the rest of your training! What plan are you using? I am in the look out for a new plan to use for training for AFC. The last 2 training plans, i was focused more on completing long runs, now that I know I can do them, I want to focus on getting faster so that I can beat my Carlsbad time of 2:05:04! Any suggestions?

If you find a good training program, let me know! I kinda wing it, which, I know, does not make for an efficient or fast runner! I was sorta following a 6-wk training program from March or April's Runners World. I just found this one online that looks pretty good-- I may give this one a try for AFC.

Anyone have any other good recommendations for training plans for 13.1?

    good spin class 00:55

Still love this class! So question -- if I don't have a footpod to track my cycling workouts, is the best thing a HRM? Any tips on how to use this for spin workouts?

  8. RUN
great LJ Cove/ Nautilus to Muirlands 8.23 mi 01:14 09:02 pace

    Felt good!

  9. RUN
good LJ Cove/ Nautilus to Muirlands 8.38 mi 01:20 09:34 pace

I like this route. Especially for getting ready for LJ. The hill comes in right around the 5/6 mile mark, which is about where Torrey Pines is on the route, I believe.

    good spin Class 00:55

This is the one workout I really look forward to each week. I've been battling a teeny cold/ or maybe it's congestion from the swim the other night ... either way, I haven't been motivated to run.... read more

I felt much better/slightly faster during last night's LJ Shores swim. It definitely wasn't as rolly as last Monday's so it was easier to keep flat. I swim in the beginner group and the coach who... read more

Haha no I'm sure you'll have no problem. I guess I'm trading distance for speed, but it's a lil disheartening b/c I'm not going that much farther. Are you training for any races? :)

Yes, but not running only. I have a lot of Tri's comming up. First the Super Seal, then WildFlower Long Corse, followed by Vineman. After that nothing longer than a International distance Tri and some 1/2 Marathons at the end of the season. I have been thinking of doing a full marathon late in the year.
