Tuesday hills 3.57 mi 00:26 07:24 pace

Tim and I hit the hills this morning. Only 4 hill charges today but they were fast. I felt a twinge in my hip after the 10 hill workout last week and wanted to be a bit more conservative today. Short but intense. Mile splits were 8:16 (kind of a warmup) then 7:06, 7:07, and the last .57 was at 6:43. I might do a double later today to make up for the short miles.

The overall pace on the hills has dropped dramatically Jason. I've been hitting 6:20 on the downhill side lately. Also the last half mile home today was in the 6:40's. That's never happened before. When I first started the hills the average pace was just over 8:00 now it's 7:24 so they seem to be doing the trick.

Ack - the hip scares me, but it sounds like it was just what you said- a twinge. You did the right thing by altering the workout, just in case.

    Nice Job:

Great splits! Hope the hip calms down. I use ice following a workout & a heating pad in the evening to keep my hip happy.

You are really working those hills hard. That downhill sprinting would kill me.
