#dailymission during the winter I started something called "Wild Running". It started of like any normal Saturday morning run the only difference was this time they let me lead. The trail system we were on was not very long but has several trails that criss cross and intersect at different points. Once you get to know the trails you can create some interesting routes. I had a bout 4 people with me on this particular day and no planned route in mind. At some point in the run I decided to see just how far they would follow me. We ran all over the place. We ran on trails, on deer trails, off trails, I even tried to get them to cross a very narrow log over a creek. I decided that since I couldn't make it across we would skip it. We ran down a ravine crossed the creek and up the other side. All the while I kept telling them I wasn't sure where we were going or how far the run would actually turn out to be. I even ran ahead and hid from them and reappeared behind them before resuming my position at the front. In the end we had a great run and an even better time. I think they were glad that I was giving them a different experience. At any time they could have seized control from me but they didn't and I loved it as much as they did!
