Beautiful morning today. The sweet smell honeysuckle balanced out the organic fertilizer they used at Millbrook Exchange park. Lots of people taking a mental health day on their boats on Falls Lake!

Super ride, Bill! You had to get up EARLY for this one.

Clipping in takes a bit of getting used to. After you fall enough, you figure maybe I should anticipate stopping. Nice ride Bill!

So glad you got out there-and impressed after a nice run as well. It is so nice and yes that one section where it cuts away from the river is a little different but the change is good. I was on a lacrosse field very near the Covered Bridge Road access! Glad you enjoyed!

good plan to trick your body with respect to pace - tell it ya 9s today no worries and then change it up by going faster before your body knows any better

I can only guess it's race day adrenaline that gives you the get-up-and-go. I'm like that too...race day pace is always a bit faster. When I'm doing training runs I like to start slower and then speed up...the overall pace ends up better than if I try to kill it right outta the gate.

I trick people, I have a marathon sticker on my car but it is the logo for the Marathon gas station chain......my favorite running sticker I saw on the back of a fancy car parked in a lot before a race stated "Race Strategy : Start off slow and then back it down a notch". It made me laugh.
