alright First post shinsplint run. 3.2 mi 00:37 11:39 pace

Well, this is my very first run of the year after my shin splints last month. I made an effort to take it easy this time. Jogged up some dirt hills (381ft) to lessen the impact on my leg. I thi... read more

      :(

Were you wearing the Vibrams? I got some shin soreness switching *back* to mine after I was forced to wear "normal" shoes when we had our first cold spell (and before I owned the Treks). Luckily, it resolved itself pretty quickly.

And yeah, what a bummer, especially when you really feel like you're really making progress.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery!

Thanks for the support everyone. I'm happy to say my shin splints are almost completely healed. I'm going to take it slow this time :). Hayley, yes I was using my Vibrams. Although, I still want to continue running in them.

I think we all need a Baldy of our own as motivation!

Nice job on the run. The zen moments are always great when they happen (I know I could use more!).

Hayley - Thanks! Yes, one day baldy will be within reach. As for the zen, it felt like my body finally adjusted to running.
      Rob - Appreciate it, thanks!
Brian - It's getting better over time, thank you.
