good Singapore Botanical Gardens 12.51 km 01:06 08:31 pace

Humid morning, rolling but very scenic route. Singapore can't do much about the weather, but they've done a fantastic job about everything else. Wide Roads, greenery all around, clean air... read more

    good Home-Dimensions-BN Beach-Dime... 16.13 km 01:35 09:31 pace

Tough weather more than made up by the company. Good fun running with la Prof, le Cat and Hari Can Can.

  3. RUN
    good Madurai 10.11 km 00:53 08:29 pace

First run in India in 3 weeks, wasn't as tough as expected. Dry morning, light breeze, wish Chennai was like this.

I envy that pace. Sub 5:15 has become so routine for you now!

Thank you all. KP, don't ask - am so scared to see my HR I don't wear my monitor these days. Just thinking of running gets me to Zone 2. Thinking of, say, Bipasha Basu running would be Zone 3. Actual runs, different zone altogether.

    good Chicago 11 km 01:05 09:30 pace

Easy run around the hotel. Part of it on a highway with no sidewalk - scary!

  5. RUN
great Charlotte, NC 10.01 km 00:53 08:35 pace

Random run around the hotel, 10 deg C. Awesome.

This is one KICK ASS run! I think 4:00 is a very conservative target for Berlin full, you must be aware of it already. :-)

Morning run. No wonder it was so bloody tough!

  9. RUN
alright CR Classic + AU loop 18.01 km 01:45 09:24 pace

Big group at start, but terrible weather throughout. Started with Ashwin P. , Mahadevan S. and Harishankar who were doing a speedy 10k, struggled the rest of the way with consultant Ramesh Mck. Tot... read more

Quick run to enjoy the weather, try the legs on some inclines, and acclimatize before Sunday long run.

  13. RUN
    good Madurai 10.17 km 00:55 08:44 pace

Cool breeze made it a surprisingly nice morning. Which made this a comfortable pace with HR under control. Would be too much to hope for these mornings to continue.

  14. RUN
    good IIT 21.68 km 02:12 09:47 pace

Nice, easy, chatty half with Ashwin P. The rain got our hopes for a cool morning up. Turned out to be humid but not too terrible. Managed a comfortable and strong finish.

  15. RUN
    good Madurai 10.07 km 00:55 08:44 pace

No-looking-at-Garmin 'listen to your body' run. Turns out I'm a good listener. Was targetting a steady 5:30/k pace, and that's what it turned out to be. Mild breeze kept the wea... read more

Great run in this weather (or any weather, for that matter!). Chennai is bad, Madurai without the sea, must be worse!

Thank you all. Doc, Madurai without the sea means without the humidity, so it's actually much better. And some cool breeze if you're lucky from the mountains nearby. Today it was more of a lukewarm breeze, but better than nothing.

  16. RUN
    alright BC - Kotturpuram 10.02 km 00:54 08:42 pace

Thinking of the shocking Boston incident, thinking of how people do such depraved stuff, tripped on a speedbreaker, skinned knees and palms, kept on to finish run.

  17. RUN
    good IIT 21.17 km 02:13 10:08 pace

Nice and easy, chatty run with Preeti A. and Harish L. . Bit of a struggle towards the end, thanks to the weather.

  18. RUN
    good Madurai 10.11 km 00:54 08:33 pace

Couldn't decide what kind of interval workout to do, so alternated slow (<6 min) and fast (<5 min) Ks. Hot but much less humid than Chennai.

  19. RUN
    alright BC - Kotturpuram 10.01 km 00:53 08:35 pace

Tempo run without looking at Garmin. Tough going towards the end, surprised to see I managed this pace. No runs in over a week, good to go out and sort out some kinks in the body and more in the head.

  20. RUN
    alright BC - Intervals 10.01 km 00:55 08:49 pace

Hot and humid. 2k WU, 5 X 1k w/400m recovery, 1k cool down (in this weather, hah!). Moderate pace thanks to the HRM, which wasn't working and hence wasn't scaring me down. Did I mention i... read more
