A nice cycle ride on a sunny, cold frosty morning. Didn't want to tempt fate after yesterday's 5 mile run (which went well).

Nice ride, Nigel. Makes me feel sad for my bike hanging in the garage waiting for ice/snow free roads!

Good work Nigel - glad you're enjoying the bike and that you're getting a mix of cardio. I'm coming through achilles/calf issues and just really want to ease the mileage at this time of year, then up it and get going again in the spring (but that relies on the cardio being in good shape!) Well done

  2. RUN
    good 5.04 mi 00:49 09:47 pace

A bit of a grey and wet drizzly run, but managed to get a 5 mile run in - longest run for a while! Injury is holding up well and feeling good :)

  3. RUN
    good 2.89 mi 00:30 10:24 pace

A steady 3 miler (almost), doing a 4m/1m run/walk. Achilles feels great. Feel like a real runner again! Very windy & wet down by the canal. but at least the snow is mainly cleared.

  4. RUN
    good 4.02 mi 00:53 13:04 pace

A run/walk in the snow. Very pleasant. The injury appears to be holding up well, so it's all good news! :)

  5. RUN
    good 4.01 mi 00:51 12:45 pace

A steady run/walk to test out the injury. Went pretty well!

  6. VELO
    good 5.06 mi 00:32 9.4mph pace

Yep...cycling...me! Wasn't too bad apart from the inevitable 'rear end' issues. A nice initial ride to test my cycling skills, so hope to step it up over the next few weeks.

  7. RUN
    alright 2.02 mi 00:23 11:24 pace

Tested the Achilles with a 2 mile run walk. Started with a 1m/1m split for 1st mile, but could feel some discomfort.Dropped to a 30s/30s (as advised by my good friend Kevin) and things seemed much ... read more

  8. RUN
    good 4.35 mi 01:05 14:57 pace

As steady walk to get some miles on the training log. Achilles still not too good, but slowly improving I think...

  9. walk
    good 4.7 mi 01:33 19:53 pace

A walk down by the canal to inspect the flooding in the local countryside and to stretch out the Achilles. You never know, I may be running by the New Year!
