I had a really BAD run today. I have a busy day today, so decided to run straight after taking my daughter to nursery. So we had fun warming up together, walked up, and by the time she was settled and I left her, my body had cooled down. My regular running skirt is wet, so I had to wear my old one (only a few months old), and it's a bit big for me now, and doesn't have a drawstring, so I had to very elegantly (NOT) keep pulling it back up throughout my run so it wouldn't fall down. Plus, the seams were rubbing a little , so I'm gonna have a nice sore bit. My nose wouldn't stop running either. To top it all off, I ran the wrong route. It was supposed to be 7.5km, and when I got home, I realised I'd run my 6.5km route. So, I tacked a little more on to the end. It wasn't quite enough, but I did extra on Friday.
On the plus side, there is a very short (maybe 50 meters) on my run where I've never succeeded to run up. It's at the top of a fairly steep hill, and just gets unbelievable. So, I decided that if today's run wasn't going to be all negative, I WAS going to run up that bit. And I DID! And I ran faster than I thought I had. Only 2 of my km (both uphill) were over 7 mins.
