I had a really BAD run today. I have a busy day today, so decided to run straight after taking my daughter to nursery. So we had fun warming up together, walked up, and by the time she was settled and I left her, my body had cooled down. My regular running skirt is wet, so I had to wear my old one (only a few months old), and it's a bit big for me now, and doesn't have a drawstring, so I had to very elegantly (NOT) keep pulling it back up throughout my run so it wouldn't fall down. Plus, the seams were rubbing a little , so I'm gonna have a nice sore bit. My nose wouldn't stop running either. To top it all off, I ran the wrong route. It was supposed to be 7.5km, and when I got home, I realised I'd run my 6.5km route. So, I tacked a little more on to the end. It wasn't quite enough, but I did extra on Friday.

On the plus side, there is a very short (maybe 50 meters) on my run where I've never succeeded to run up. It's at the top of a fairly steep hill, and just gets unbelievable. So, I decided that if today's run wasn't going to be all negative, I WAS going to run up that bit. And I DID! And I ran faster than I thought I had. Only 2 of my km (both uphill) were over 7 mins.

    Sorry about the rough parts, but you ran up the biggest hill! That's definitely an accomplishment. Hope the rest of the day is better.

    I want a running skirt. Is there a particular kind that you have found to be best? I am glad you were able to get some satisfaction from your run. A bad run is better than no run. :))

    The old exercise thing can have its ups n downs just like your skirt and those hills. You did it though. The bigger picture is that if the skirt is just a few months old and it's now too big you must be shrinking. Well done.
