      Thanks for the encouragement, Ben. My training in past years had always fallen over around Passover time, so I'm 6 months beyond normal this year! I kept up my running (to a greater or lesser extent) through Passover, summer holiday, war, overseas travel, and just about back to school. Seeing my goal for a significant pr at Jerusalem half this year. I can do the distance, but I'm going to do a lot of speedwork too. I have a little under 5 months. Let's see how it goes.

      Nice run Ruth. I trust the holidays went well for you. I hope that you are able to start getting more runs in, if that's something that you want as well. Almost 8k is a pretty long distance without having run in 3 weeks. So great job!

      Hope you were OK in the end, Ben! The gazelles were running away from me (though I was at the edge of the highway, not sure if they were running away *because* of me, or just running. I've only ever seen one or two at a time; it was quite a sight to see 8 of them all together.

      heatstroke. He collapsed in the middle of the trail. They sent a 4x4 out with a kiddy pool to cool him down and bring him back. An hour in cold water and his temp was still sky high. Announcement tonight at the prize ceremony said all the poorly runners were recovering.

      Thursday. I'm running another relay ultra (all trails) and it's just starting to sink in! I have the longest section, eek! Then I guess it'll be the Jerusalem marathon in march, but I've not decided what distance I want to do yet for that.
