It did clear my mind. Getting out and seeing its not all doom and gloom out there helps. And the fact that my airline is currently flying again, after cancelling 2 days of flights.

Thanks for your concern, Ben. We're all OK, we're all safe. Jerusalem's had no sirens since last Saturday, but my husband texts me from the stairwell of his office building in Tel Aviv most days telling me that they had another siren over there. I just can't get out and run. Which isn't good, with another relay ultra in about 2 months. I shouldn't be logging single-figure kilometre weeks.

I signed up for tanach tashach, I have to run! But logged less than 1/3 this month than what I logged last month. Spending 5 weeks in the UK over the summer; *really* not looking forward to running when I get back from that!
