great Half Marathon Training 10 mi 01:53 11:18 pace

65 degrees. 20+ mph wind, sustained. Ran the full loop around Lake Hefner.

Felt really good. Cept for one weird thing. Stike that, two weird things.

1. My left foot, and lower calf area went numb about mile 4-5. It did the same thing at the 10K two weeks ago. I walked a bit and stretched it and it went away...but it is very weird.

2. After the run my stomach felt like it was all in knots and twisted up. Not sure what was up here.

Save thse two things the run was awesome!

    Neill, are you consuming anything for energy on these long runs?

    And I've had my toes go a little numb during runs, but usually only with new shoes, not my whole foot!!!

    I take a few carb packs. And have eaten a few hours before, usually somehting light but carb heavy.

    Okay good, I wondered if this might be the problem. I was always so afraid of bonking that I always take something along if I will be running longer than an hour! Try some Clif Shot Bloks, maybe the electrolytes will help you!
